Hi Calle, here in Ontario Canada the first hint of spring is upon us. The maple trees are just now starting to run sap so we are well into the heavy work of making maple syrup. If you don't know what maple syrup is, press delete. This is the best, sweetest, clearest maple sap that I have ever tasted/tested. This stuff is SO good.

Our lake is frozen to about one meter and is smooth enough to skate around - about a one kilometer circuit.

Last week we had accumulated enough snow on our roof that I had to clear it with a snow shovel.

Each night, the flying squirrels come to our bird feeder and sit there gorging themselves.

This past week the raccoons have started raiding our bird feeders and compost box looking for goodies.

I love the winter but just about now I'm looking forward to spring/mud/black fly/mosquito season. -Larry
