Chuck, The problem is experienced by quite a number of these vans, mine included. The first thing to learn is not to be startled, this should take about a week, the next problem is to calm any passengers. They think something's gonna blow and we're all in trouble. Only regulars will get used to it. I haven't heard of anyone who has actually had a "real" problem. If you are concerned about the length of time the alarm stays on, check the oil level. When you grab the dipstick, the temperature should not be uncomfortably hot, i.e. if you can't hold the dipstick, the motor's too hot and the alarm is not crying wolf as is the case most of the time. I seem to remember reading that there are actually 2 sensors involved.
