Driving around salt lake last week I saw a nice bus (pre vanagon) but am not familar enough to know the year. Anyhow, it had one of the pop-tops that hinges on the drivers side of the bus. The really unusual thing was he had what looked like air conditioner coils mounted on the top rear of the bus with pipes coming down and entering the engine compartment somewhere. So, it must be possible to mount everything in unconventional places.
