Subject: Shift pattern from down below?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

When you stare up through the shifter housing from the rear of the van's underneath(4 speed, 091-1), what should I except to see as an assistant shifts from first to fourth? Bentley doesn't cover the position of the shifter tangs as they move laterally from 2nd to 3rd,just the "a" gap with the shifter at rest. My gap is less than the 29/32" asked for but I'm still not sure how to figure if the shifter inneutral is supposed to be measured. Help me, oh please! TIA
