Hi Karl, The throttle switch that I have played with, has a small microswitch which is closed by a double cam on the throttle butterfly valve shaft. The microswitch is supposed to open with the aid of a spring built into the switch housing. On the side of the housing holding the spring is a small hole. That is where dirt got into my switch and kept it from working consistently. DON'T wash it out with solvent. This only strips it of lubricant. Try blowing out the dirt. I added some spray teflon (Scotch Guard) and used a needle point to manipulate the spring. The spring went ping and every thing worked thereafter. Larry
