I just use a dab of RTV (silicone sealant) on each of the bolt heads. Can be a bit messy, but comes right off later if necessary. Available at any FLAPS. After installing a new skylight on my 85 Westy I noticed water leaking from the bolts after driving in the rain. I then reread the instructions which said to use a "gum" sealer around the bolts. What is a gum sealer and what have you all used for this? I sure it would have to be safe for the plastic skylight. Any recommendations? Thanks Spencer |
