I have always felt that the concept of Japanese quality was an urban >myth anyway and now even they are using the slave labor pool of Taiwan to >save a few manufacturing pennies. > >I will now climb down from my soapbox. >Rich > I sometimes wonder what planet some of you live on. If it weren't for Japanese quality, we would still all be driving the equivlents of 1976 Plymouth Volaries and yes, VW Dashers. Only the Japanese figured out how to make the automobile a truly reliable vehicle for the mass public. As far as slave labor... you need to get out in the world a bit more often. Taipei is a very busy, diverse city. The people there are not starving, they are working their butts off to make a living. Perhaps something one or two of us North Amuricans could relearn. amazing and it isn't even virtual friday yet. tim ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com |
