First, I think all the entries look great for the sticker contest. There's some great talent out there. I shutter to think how the Vanagon list community could change the world if we didn't have to spend so much time re-torquing the heads. tracing every problem back to the oxygen sensor, or sniffing under the back seat for the sweet smell of antifreeze. But back to the point, I'm confused here. The rules for the sticker contest state the LIST ADDRESS must be included on the sticker and makes no mention of listing Vanagon.com. My question is what are the purpose of the stickers? I had thought they were so we could identify eachother on the road--knowing the guy or gal in the next bus is a fellow listee before you wave like a maniac and blow the horn would save a lot of non-list members flashing the bird and dialing 911 because of the freak in the Vanagon next to them seems to presents some kind of threat. I didn't think we were trying to sell anything. But I could be wrong--and I'm flexible I'll go with the flow or the market research or whatever. I think Vanagon.com is a great site. But what I want to know is the person driving the bus next to me a list member. As far as selling the list or even vanagon.com I'm not sure of the advantages. In short I think we should decide what our goal is before we select a sticker. And possibly some stickers should have the option to be redesigned. Sorry if I made this more complicated.
