Think what they're talking about is the butyl non hardening sealant used in RV's. It comes in rolls w/waxpaper backing - approx 50'x 1" ( $5 ? - been awhile since I bought any). Works great & lasts forever - won't hurt finish - should be available at any RV supply store.
