After I got new tires I noticed how easy my steering was. Couple weeks later I noticed how loose my steering was. Finally had a chance to crawl under the van and noticed the little rounded diamond shaped steering coupler was falling apart. This thing basically looks like a chunk of tire sandwiched between the steering rod that comes down from the steering wheel and mates up witht he steering mechanism by the crossbeam underneath. I helps isolate road vibrations to the steering wheel. So if you've got some play in your manual steering, check this coupler out. About $18 from dealer. eric.henning@us.abb.com 80 westy |
