You may want to seriously look in to what is involved in importing a used single cab from Canada. We have tons of them here. Mind you, we have a lot more double cabs than single cabs, but it just adds to the thrill of the chase. You would not have a problem finding one meeting your specifications, as long as you didn't need it, like, right away. Like any good bus search, it'd prolly take you several months to find one. I don't know what's involved in importation in that direction, but I've brought both my last buses into Canada from california and it's really no big deal as long as you getthe paperwork laid out properly ahead of time. White, BTW, is far and away the most common colour for these things. In fact, there is a double cab for sale right here on Bowen Island right now. There are four vanagon pickups on the Island (all double cabs, sorry), and only about 2,500 people live here! And, yes, I've even seen syncro pickups, although I don't know if they are aftermarket conversions or what. I remember one of them was white, FWIW. I really don't know why Eric would have thought your specs were unrealistic. Maybe there aren't that many Vanagon pickups in the states, but contrary to US foreign policy the universe does not end at the 49th parallel. Maybe Eric should get off the couch, away from the TV, and travel a little more. He *does* have a bus, I understand...
