Subject: List Sticker... debacle or debate?

Dear David: Not a bad thought. My late father-in-law did a world trip when he retired...... brought home a couple of nicely enamelled badges from some motoring club in the Middle East, ovals the size of the old AAA badge, blue with gold Arabic characters. I didn't know anyone at the time who could read what they said, and despite concern [considering events of that time] they might say something disparaging about Israel, I mounted them on his sportscar for him.

He got amazing numbers of waves, sometimes at distracting times. He was too polite not to wave back, and that may have been a factor when he went into a spinout someplace in the Tennessee or Kentucky mountains, when returning to Chicago from a Florida trip.....?? So sure, watching oncoming traffic has its hazards. But I think if we return waves only when it seems safe and prudent to do so, and wavers understand that wavees [!] may have other things on their minds.... it should not be a problem? And if it really concerns you, you have the option of putting NO sticker on the front of your Vanagon. Best regards------
