Doesn't sound good. Replacing the gaskets and reusing the heads is problematic. I've heard everything from failure in 1500 miles to 50,000 miles, and everything in between. When VW did mine partly on their own nickel 10 years ago they replaced one head only, and the other just got the gasket. It failed within 10,000 miles, and they replaced that head at half price admitting it should have also been replaced with the other one. I hope it is something else, but if the level is rising in your overflow reservoir and starts to come out, get ready to do it again, and replace the heads this time.
