Josh; Our 85 had a lot of intermittent horn problems. I suspected a poor contact unable to pass the current. Clean as I might it never stayed. I installed a relay at the horn to handle all the current. Then the horn button only had to energize the relatively small coil of the relay. No problems since. Place the contacts between the hot wire and the horn. Ground the other horn and relay terminal at the horn mounting bolt.
