The amsoil 75w90 GL2-5 oil isn't the correct one for your tranny. Amsoil makes a 75w90 that is GL 4 rated and is the one they recommend for applications that require the friction co-efficient of a GL4 rated gear oil.

If you use an oil that is more 'slippery' the synchro's don't operate correctly.

Motor up is a chlorine based extreme pressure lubricant. It works really well at being able to decrease friction, but it does this by creating a layer of corrosion on the gears that lets the metals slide better against each other. Chlorine ( yes like as in bleach ) is a very well known EP additive, but its only used for things where long term durability is not an issue...except for the snake oil companies who ignored this bit of science and just use it anyways. Thats the reason they can sell this stuff. The product does what they say it does...they just don't tell you what it also does...kills your tranny or engine over time.
