This is more a matter of experience than math. From what I have seen, you can go up to 235 width on your 7,5 rims, but those will be wide tires. The best for the 7,5 rims are 205-215 IMHO.

And if you decide to go as wide as you can when the car is the limit, I have seen 255 on 10x18 wide rims, installed in the rear! The car had 225 on 8x18 rims up front. If you are interested, I can send you a pic of this car.
