I've posted my guess on this a few times over the past year or so, but I guess it's time to do it again.

My front end squeaks quit after I replaced my front springs with a pair with much lower mileage. Front end guy said all of the rubber parts were stressed because they were in an unnatural position.

I'll believe that's where the noise came from until someone can prove me wrong.
