Subject: New Beetle "dune"- no van content

Read today of vw unveiling the SUV hybrid concept car, built on the NB platform. Very cool looking little machine, it would complement a syncro quite nicely sitting in your driveway. Name: Dune Specs: -vw's 4motion all-wheel drive -Variable ride height suspension(120mm) -vw's new V5 engine(yes a VEE-5 ), 148hp -235/60r18 radials -large aluminum bumper/underside guards Anyone who has ever trail driven in an old baja will appreciate what vw is doing here. This car is would be a blast. Downside is while it's fun trashing a $1000 baja it would be painful to even scratch a $30,000 NB.
