Subject: Report on brake work

Took Thursday off. 60 degrees out.

Put in two new rear wheel brake cyclinders, that I got from ken.

I bought a hand held Mighty-Vac kit at NAPA and used it to pull the brake fluid out through the bleeder. Worked pretty well. Worked better after I put some grease around the base of the bleeder to eliminate air being pulled in through the threads. I also tried teflon tape, worked even better. The bottle coming with kit is too small although it is marked in milliliters. Will hack a new one out of a mason jar. Nice kit with plenty of funky adapters. I just put the hose right on the nipple. The mighty-vac also operates as a pressure pump albeit without any gauge readings. Brakes work great.

Placed a rag around the brake res cap before filling it up, no mess!!

Rain came around 4 as I was finishing up bleeding the last wheel. Sun came out a half later when it was done, beautiful rainbow, another 20 minutes, we had a double rainbow. Awesome.

Peace

Erik
