Well, naphtha works pretty good for me at removing some tapes from car finishes. Actually had a Hyundai Excel with a trunk lid I had to tape down. Naphtha took the tape residue off pretty well, but it was masking tape. (Also works removing tape from paper.) Good Luck S.
