Kristen: You might try a tape Wal mart sells I think Manco makes it,, called Polyken tape, a stretchy, clear 2" wide tape that sticks pretty well. It costs more than duct tape, but I have never tried it in wet conditions. I have had it taped to boats for multiple days and had it release nicely. If it did leave some residue, at least it would be more or less clear colored!
