Check the thermo/temp sender if you have one. The thermostat failed this weekend on my wasserboxer causing the computer to think the motor had not 'warmed up' and my van had low power. As I was cruising to Toledo the temperature gauge kept going lower and lower. I could see this because I replaced the bad temp sender unit last week. Anyway when the temp got low enough the van lost power, shuddered and almost died. Couldn't turn around and go home as I had to get to the MPVA pro volleyball tournament @ the University of Toledo.

Also smell the oil for gas and replace if neccessary. If I was at home I could have done this all. But alas, on the road it was $233. Our team won $ so after the tounament I was only out about half.

BP procare service was very good and their computers spint out a schematic of the Wasserboxer cooling system with all the procedures for it. I had them change the coolant while the were at it. yada-yada... It's not the destination but the journey...

Cheers, Mark
