This thread stirs up memories of when I was in Australia, and I accidentally filled up my Mini Moke with Diesel. It ran fine at full throttle, but as I was heading 4 hours out into the outback I headed back to the gas station, The old guy there sniffed the exhaust and asked if I'd filled up by myself ( a la self serve) and I said that I had, He then mentioned that he kept the diesel in the tank hooked to the "Regular" pump --- "most town folks knew that" he said. Drained the tank - gave it back to him, and filled with regular and off I went. Thanks for the opportunity to remember that slice of life.
