Subject: crank crank THUD problem solved
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

indeed, the paralzying THUD in my engine was due to fuel being dumped into the cylinder. Changed out the fuel injector (my favorite FLAPS $36.00) and still had the fuel dumping in (man trial and error is expen$ive). Up a little higher in the system, found the fuel pressure regulator had completely failed and fuel is freely pouring through it, as well as into the distributor (oh joy). back to my FLAPS for another $54.00 charge on my debit card (glad it was payday) ordered the part and plan on putting it in on tuesday. For those of you who have followed my running problems, you know my aggravations...having checked out all the sensors and afm etc, i was at a loss as to what to check next...so this failure is a good thing...im optomistic.

Here in NH we got a foot of snow yesterday, the nice wet heavy stuff...so a few more days may go by before it gets done...will keep you informed...and thank you all for your help.
