A lister once gave me a wonderful piece of advice on the lug nuts.

Go buy yourself an 18" breaker bar and an impact socket to remove the lug nuts. it works wonders, and if you get craftsman you can jum on it without worrying about breaking it. Carry it in your van, because it is always tough to get those off.
