'Cos syncros are very popular here.Even Telstra,the telecommunications company uses them for many of their service vans (LWB T4 syncro panelvans) They only recently pensioned off the last of the T3 syncros after up to 8 years in service and you still see them around now,often converted into campers.Sure they probably needed some work but given how they got treated in service by the technicians,the fact they are still on the road is indeed a tribute to their good engineering.

BTW,Single & Double cabs are common here too and syncro 4WD has been an option on all of them since '88. ...and can you guess what colour about 90% of them are..(Eric)??? The US experience isn't necessarily the norm for the rest of the big wide world.
