Roy and whoever else is interested. I have done this about four years ago and have not had a head leak since. So here's the story. After you have the heads removed from the engine clean them well. Use some strong solvent like lacquer thinner and a wire brush. Be sure to clean out all the pit holes very well using a small wire brush or old stiff tooth brush. Now mix up your JB Weld according to the instructions. Then spread the JB Weld on the head surface with a body putty squeegee so that all the pits are full and a slight amount is above the pitted surface. Let this harden overnight. Then you must sand the heads flat. I used an electric orbital sander with #220 grit discs. You want to get the surface nice and bright that's all. Now your ready to reinstall your heads. One more note....Use a very good quality silicon head gasket sealant on that big O-ring. Either the one that comes in some of the head gasket kits or one from Loctite or Permatex (Ultra Copper). Good luck.

Cheers
