The only time I start deleting is when someone starts a thread about how there is a lack of content on the List, which leads to a bunch of posts back and forth about if the content is good or not, etc, etc, etc. Basically a lot of wasted bandwidth. I read the stuff I am interested in, comment on stuff I know about, and delete the rest. That simple. Why do we have to keep having this argument every couple months? I think this kind of thread that you are starting Eric is the biggest contributor to what you call "poor content". Post something constructive or helpful every time you post and guess what... the list content will have just improved by one :) Others will follow.
