The website for the Baldwin coolant filter: http://www.baldwinfilter.com/products.html While filtering out particles, it also supplements the coolant with corrosion inhibiting chemicals over a period of one year. I'm still experimenting with this. I'm going to hook the coolant filter into the coolant loop that goes to the rear heat exchanger under the back seat. For some that removed the rear heat exchanger, it would be a snap to install the coolant filter in its place. Things you need to install: Prod line Part no. Price filter base BAL CFB5000 25.00 element BAL BW5136 8.54 some brass fittings some 3/8 id coolant hose optional on/off 3/8 ball valves That is the filter for 1-10 gallon coolant systems. The technician from Baldwin assured me it would be compatible with the vw coolant. We'll see. Harald '90 westy Brent wrote: Coolant filter?? Tell us more!
