There was a segment on our national TV network about tiny fire extinguishers - being labeled for use in automobiles.

The long and short of it was that serious fires cannot be extinguished by little units - not at all.

They said the "minimum" size for auto use was a 5 pounder - otherwise it cannot be considered up to the task.

Canadian Tire got some very bad publicity for selling 12 oz extinguishers labeled for use in auto's - if I remember correctly - they had to recall them for relabelling.

It only stands to reason that tiny units don't have enough capacity for anything but a tiny fire.
