Dave, two points I have for you. Number one, make sure that they clean the rusted, pitted metal WELL, AND topcoat it with a very good quality rust preventative primer BEFORE applying any other surface coatings or fillers. This is the only way to hopefully prevent the rust from reappearing in the future. Number two, the windshield washer sprayers can be successfully removed and reused if you wish by finding the end under the dash and using a pair of needle nose pliers squeezing the two barbs located on the stem and having another person pulling on the sprayer. It should just pop right out. You must remove the hose from the end of the sprayer first. Good luck !

Cheers
