Subject: 14" factory wheel conundrum
Content-type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII

about three days ago i finally accepted the fact that there's no way i'm going to get my hands on Synchro 16" factory wheels. that's fine. i'm ok with that now. so i go to the local VW dealership to inquire as to the range of wheels available. the man says to me, "you got three choices. wait a minute, three? i thought there were only two." so it turns out (as you may or may not already know), that aside from the standard 14 x 5.5" and alloy 15 x 7", there's a 14 x 6". that was the one that threw the parts guy. apparently it looks just like the 14 v 5.5". the only problem is, it's double the price ($139 versus $69). i would really love to get those 14 x 6" wheels.

does any one know where i could get my hands one some used ones (4) in really, really good condition (silver, not black)?

thanks, jason
