Is it leaking?  If so, how much and under what circumstances (always when
running, when shutting off, when sitting overnight)?

It leaked all the time (as far as I know)-would even spray up and coat my
rear winshield when I last drove it (almost two years ago)
The last time I started it, (what a beautiful sound after not hearing it for
so long!) it became REALLY hot really quickly (& it had NEVER run hot before
even with all the leaking & refilling) so I got scared & turned it off.  Now
what should I do?

Thanks for the tips on the volt thing- the guy who told me that works almost
exclusively on Vanagons, but I guess if I take it to anyone, there is a shop
in town that has been recommended by someone on the list....!
