As long as your cooling system is in good shape I can't see any reason
to worry.Those kind of temperatures are experienced in Australian
summers in many parts and we all still drive our Transporters around.

Remember,VWs are world vehicles and their design takes into account the
differences in climates that they will experience when shipped to the
four corners of the earth.

Also,I have found that using premium unleaded to be an advantage in hot
weather as the higher octane rating does help reduce the chance of
pre-detonation when you're running in a warm climate,particularly on
grades.

...and change that coolant regularly!
