I have an 84 Vanagon. I had it painted at my local Joint Vocational School. A bunch of high school kids do all the work. It takes them about 3 months to do the work. They only get a couple of hours a day to work on their projects. The best thing is it only cost me about $540.00 for all the body work and paint. I stayed origional color except for a cool wide stripe they put around the whole van. I had mostly seam and surface rust. I did have a rust through spot under a side window and someone had drilled a hole through the roof to put some antenna cable through that was repaired. Also I only had the outside painted not including the inside door jams. All and all they did a super job. Good luck Jeff ---------- > From: John & Wendy <westy@CAPECOD.NET> > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > Subject: full paint job prices > Date: Monday, March 20, 2000 7:58 AM > > I would like to know what people have been quoted for paint jobs on their > Vanagons, inlcuding body work.
