Subject: Re: full paint job prices and OEM color question for beige Westy
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

On Monday, March 20, 2000 7:58 AM, John & Wendy asked:

I made the nearly asystole-causing mistake of getting an estimate from a large central-Ohio 'collision repair' center. Our 85 Westy is in good shape except for some surface rust and a dent in the sliding door from the POV. I also specified from the gutter down, not removing the pop top, and not painting the pop top.

The 'special' price was $3,200 including the 5 year 'warranty'. I'll save my money and have the whole thing ceramic coated!

As I order a can of POR-15, I'd like to ask if any other listmembers have an 85 Westy the color of what my wife describes as "baby-poop" tan?

The archives don't list colors for an 85, but do list two possible choices for the Syncro - Timor Beige LH8T or Bast Beige LL1M. Any ideas on whether one of these is, as I describe, my light desert tan Westy.

Thanks

Todd Guttman Columbus, OH 85 Westy 'Rivendell'
