One listmember just told me about the recall on the Windstars for headgasket problems. The thing that most folks don't understand is that all cars have some kind of problem or another. And just because you buy a new car this doesn't mean you are guaranteed a trouble-free ownership (I have seen too many brand new cars on the backs of tow trucks or on the side of the road to believe this myth). I would rather own a Vanagon that has a great list like this for support with people who know what problems the van has and can help you through them, than buy something "new" and have a problem and be all on my own.

Think about this the next time you think about getting rid of your van :)
