Subject: I didn't mark the starter wires

Yep, I thought I could remember where they all went. Its my 81 Westy, but with only one battery (passenger seat). With Bentley I figured out where the two small ones go. (Bentley show six wires coming into the starter--I really don't know how to read those wiring flow charts). The starter wires in question are the two big ones. One comes from the battery, is big and black. The other is a medium sized red one. It goes across the van and heads up the left frame rail towards the drivers seat. It appears to have come off the same big nut that the battery wire hooks to. Does this connect to the battery connection? And does this really go to the front of the van? If so, why didn't they just jump off the battery and save lots of wire, voltage drop, etc. Thanks for helping me out on this one.

Myron Lind Harrisonburg, Virginia 81 Westy
