Subject: need a brain for 80 vanagon
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed

I've been told that I need a new "computer brain" for my 1980 vanagon (manual, fuel injection). The previous owner was in an accident and it got knocked around a bit and was dented. It has since suffered some water damage. The local dealer can get me one new for $695.00, seems a bit outrageous to me. Bus Depot could not locate one. Anyone know where I might be able to locate one? Is "Computer Brain" really the name of this mystery black box? I was told the part number was 043906021D.

thanks for any info. Dan -Belmont, MA
