<< Received my non-OEM 1987-1991 bumper (part #251-807-311D) from Go Westy today. Doesn't even come close to fitting, won't match up with any mounting point. They're paying the shipping back, and crediting my account, and in the meantime I have a lead on a used OEM. Just FYI, and no slight intended on Go Westy, but the 1987-1991 bumper in their catalog does not fit a 1990 Westfalia. >>

what was it made of? the steel type OEM style '80-'87 wont fit a '88-'91 vanagon without trimming off the brackets that support the fiberglass bumper. other than that, all rear bumper brackets are the same.
