It's metal, available as chrome or black. Said to fit 80-91, even though they are different designs. I realized that the bumper wouldn't wrap around as it should, and was willing to live with that, but I do need to be able to bolt it on (picky, I know). I think I'll shop around a bit for a used OEM (shop around again) before I cut off the brackets. The day I cut them off I'll find an OEM lying on the side of the interstate, in perfect condition.
