Interesting note on the 'Weekender'.

I'm unsure of when VW began to sell the 'Weekender', but I don't recall seeing any floor mounts for a frig behind the front passenger seat. The floor area directly behind the drivers seat is inaccessible unless one removes the rear facing single person passenger seat. Our Westy does have the pop-out side table.

It was ordered in late 85' from a CA dealership for pick-up in Germany (for transportation in Europe early Summer of 86). I don't remember VWn selling "weekenders' at that time, but that's not to say they weren't available.
