Hi Brent, to what address do I email the request to?

Try narrowing your search, or use the e-mail method for searching - much faster and more reliable. Send e-mail to the listserv address. Example:

SEARCH VANAGON variable1 AND variable2

I think you can get pretty creative with Boolean statements, too.

You will receive a message back from Gerry with a listing of all the messages that match. You then send back a message to Gerry like this:

GETPOST VANAGON item1 item2 item3 item4

the "items" above will be numbers that reference the different posts

works every time for me.

The only time I use the html search engine is when I am searching for a specific date range or a specific author (like looking up someone's e-mail address)

Cheers,

I've tried a number of times to search the archives - every time it bombs out on me after 3-4 minutes ...Is it something I'm doing or is this a known problem - is there anyone is particular that I should contact?

Steve
