Sorry to revisit this subject again, but I need to fix this. Last summer and about 5k miles ago, I installed a rebuilt transaxle. Since then my back-up lights would flash while in 4th gear and cruising. Figuring it was something simple, I replaced the back-up light switch for the grand total of $6. Well, still have the same problem. It seems while rowing through the gears with the ignition switch on will turn the lights on in first, third and fourth gears. What could be causing this? Do I have the switch in too tight? Is the shift linkage out of whack or is there something internally wrong with this tranny? Or can it be a combo effect? Thanks, Jason M.
