The best roof racks I have seen (for real, HD use) are made by Con Ferr manufacturing. They also make all kinds of other Heavy Duty brackets, mounts, and goodies for off road and utility vehicles.

Their racks make a Yakima unit look like chicken wire I have had them on Jeeps, and they are really bullet-proof (and heavy). They are pretty ugly though IMHO
