Yes, and still is on the "Eurovan". The Transporter is the working vehicle (vans, pickups, chassis), the Caravelle is the passenger carrier (wagon, bus), and the Multivan is - um well - the Multivan. The campers are called California for some reason.

There are some late T3 Westys (89-91) that have the Vanagon badge, but is still not a US spec vehicle. Oh, my Syncro has the Vanagon badge too, but that is just to be different :-)
