    Barry, the second battery is an option you can install to run your
camping and other accessories from while camping/parked with engine not
running so that you do not drain your standard battery to the point of not
being able to restart the engine when your ready to go.  The second battery
must be isolated from the standard battery to allow it to charge while the
engine is running but not discharge the standard battery while the engine is
stopped.  This can be done in one of three ways.  Manual switch, relay,
battery isolator.
