Subject: Urgent: need Subaru speed sensor info
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

I need to know whether a Subaru engine from an automatic donor SVX needs a speedometer speed sensor to run in a manual Vanagon. KEP's catalog says you don't need the autotrans computer. However Subaru mechanics here tell me the engine management will be locked in limp-home mode without matching factory computer and speed sensor.

I have found a wrech with a complete management system, just imported from Japan, unfortunately from an automatic SVX (manuals are so rare as to be essentially unobtainable).

I need the info quick, before someone else buys the bits.

Help!!
