of course i have something to say on this, as usual :<)

a "weekender" is a interior package offered on the 7 passenger hardtop vanagon that has the back seat that folds down into a queen size bed, and the seatbacks of the middle seat fold forward. that's it.

a "wolfsburg" vanagon is one that has the wolfsburg badge. :<) they always had a bed in the back. whether it be a 7 pass hardtop, or a '85-'86 Non - GL poptop westy, or a '84 full GL westy wolfsburg....

if you think about it, the only true "wolfsburg weekender" would be an '84 7 pass wolfsburg ed. all the others were '85-'86 westy weekenders, and the '87 up wolfsburgs were all 7 pass hardtop vans w/ the carat style interior (w/ jumpseats/flip out table)

and "GL" means different things from year to year. i had a '83.5 9 pass GL. had vinyl seats. i have another 83.5 7 pass GL. has velour seats. i had a '84 GL with black bumpers..had one w/ chrome.... GL usually means a slightly better trim line, but it varies.

confused???? good :<) i think that's the way VW intended.. :<)
