VDO makes a "mounting cup" which is a surface mounted guage holder and
bracket.  I put one on the right side of the instrument cluster on the
dash and angled it towards me.  Very nice looking, easy to install, and
you can actually fit two or three of them there, one in front of the
other, and have perfect visibility because the dash is sloped downward.


The main drawback is cost, they are $48.86 from the Bus Boys, but can be
removed if you sell the vehicle (use double sided tape to attach). See
